Hola a todos, aqui les dejo la traducción al español en fase beta del remake de este gran juego que sacó Lankhor allá por el año 1993 , está hecho con el Aventure Game Studio y es una versión muy fiel al original graficamente.

La Fuente Cantarell Regular que se usa para mostrar los caracteres en español es gratuita y de libre distribución.

Modo de uso:

Extraer todos los archivos en la carpeta del juego, ejecutar: winsetup.exe y seleccionar: Español de la lista.

Me ustaría mucho si alguien tiene tiempo y puede hacerlo, me ayude a corregir algunos errores, incongruencias gramaticales, palabras incomprensibles, o cualquier otro tipo de errata o cosas raras que se encuentre durante el juego  ^-^

Lo dicho una versión beta, que irá mejorando con el tiempo y con su ayuda.

Todo está traducido pero abajo pongo una lista de palabras con las que no me queda clara la cosa:

foxglove: si es una planta, es la dedalera, si es otra cosa ni idea.

C L I N E It could also have spelled C L U E con el contexto se puede traducir facilemte, cline puede n ser muchas cosas

Kendo, gracias por las sugerencias, no hay que ajustar texto, lo que pasa es que en el momento de traducir y probar, no vi por ningun lado una tablilla (que es la traducción correcta) y creo recordar que era una pastilla o algo asi, pero estoy grueso y puedo estar equivocado.

la mas complicadila es: C L I N E It could also have spelled C L U E, volveré a jugar a ver que sale.

Lo demás lo tengo como sugieres pero no estaba seguro si se entendia, lo dejo así sin mas como dices tú kendo  :)

I'm the betatester off the official remake (from AGS).

If you need any help with the translation, feel free to contact me.

And there is an easier way to translate this game:
1.: Get the translation file from the ags remake. I can contact the author for you if you like.
2.: Translate it to spanish
3.: Get the file back to the author
4.: He can import and recompile the game. Once done the game will also has you translation.

a sequence of letters on the scroll. In the basement you have to click on the buttons on left and right of the drawer and form the word CLINE in order to open the drawer.
CLINE doesn't really mean something, it's just a sequence of letters...
And it is not spelled CLUE.

*I hope you can use That tablet, it must mean something:
The proper line should be: "I hope you can use this tablet, it must mean something."
You get this tablet from the Tramp after giving the tramp the Bread. Look at The Tablet to read it.
The 4 numbers on the tablet represent the bars of the stair (from top to down) in the well.
Click the right sequence and a Compartment will be opened to get a key.

*Perfect! I found this tablet. Take it, it must mean something:

*pentacle :
The pentacle is just an object, like a key.
Here's the part of the game where the pentacle is used:
>Up [Inside The Chapel]
Use Crucifix on the Small Cross
Click the Small Cross to expose stairs leading down
>Down [The Secret Sacristy]
Use the small key on the closet door to open the closet
Pickup the Cassock
Search under the closet.
You'll find a box with tree buttons.
Now first read the missal you are carrying, on page two there's a number sequence.
Use this sequence (1,3,3,2,1) on the buttons of the box in order to open the box.
Click inside the box to get a pentacle.
Click outside the box to place it back.
>Upstairs [Inside The Chapel]
>South (5x) [The Bridge Of Silence]
>East [The Cemetery]
Click on the pentacle you are carrying
It has 6 letters on it.
Change the letters to form the word MOLOCH and click outside the pentacle.
Now place the pentacle in the skulls mouth.
You will be brought to The Hall Of Shadows

bueno, pues eso parece resolver el tema de CLINE, tatapindi :)

¿el puzzle lo vas a traducir o la palabra se va a quedar como CLINE? porque entonces si puede ser un reto, sino, pues parece resuelto.
Entiendo que a frase a traducir la dice el personaje... pero claro en castellano no tiene sentido, asi que quiza puedas simplemente sustituirle y olvidarte de CLUE.
O buscar una palabra en castellano que se parezca a CLINE para que diga, por ejemplo... mmm "parece que pone CLINE... quiza quisiera decirCLINEX" (vale chiste malo pero para eso etan los ejemplos :P )

About the word CLINE:

I think it should stay as CLINE because the letters in the puzzle are graphics, not text...
Second, CLINE doesn't really mean something, it's just a sequence of letters that forms the word CLINE.
It forms a code:

Ingame you can find a scroll with a sequence of letters: C L I N E.
In the Basement you can see a drawer with 3 buttons on the left and 3 buttons on the right.
You have to click on the proper buttons to form the word CLINE:
Now the drawer will be opened.

It also has nothing to do with CLUE.

Hope this will explain the "CLINE problem" ;-)

yup we already understood the puzzle, what we are talking about is the translation. Sometimes we translate graphics too, so what im thinkin is abuot translating the in-game sentence "C L I N E It could also have spelled C L U E", to make it have sense. As CLUE means nothing in spanish, maybe we have to think on a spanish word that reads similar to CLUE for the sentence translation. Or even changing the graphics if possible, or just deleting the sentence for having no sense in the translation. :)

So there's no problem with the puzzle but with what we do with that sentence which appears inside the game at that puzzle.
by the way, "cline" has a meaning or two, but i cant guess if any of them make sense in the puzzle as i didn't play the game, maybe you can tell us: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cline (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cline)

The only thing I can imagine CLINE can mean is: "A gradation in one or more characteristics within a species or other taxon, esp. between different populations."
Because when you've finished the game, you will find out that several characters are one and the same person...

As for the translation of CLINE:
The puzzle now is that you have to click on 5 buttons to activate the trigger to open the drawer.
This might mean that you have to translate it into a word with the exact amount of 5 letters.

Por mi parte ya que estoy corrigiendo un poco la traducción, intentaré acomodar el tema del CLINE que al parecer por lo que dicen, solo hace falta  que se cumpla la condición de que sean esas cinco letras las que se presionen sin importar el orden, (Si entendí bien lo que dice arj0n arriba) así que usando la ayuda del juego puedo agregar una "pista" para guiar al jugador y de esa manera poder cambiar CLINE por otra cosa. Veremos que sale. Help me kendo!  :)

No, the only condition is the sequence of pressing these 5 letters.
This sequence is absolutely important.
An incorrect sequence will result in the drawer NOT going open.

This is what you have to do when playing the (ags remake) game:

Click on the 3 buttons on left of the drawer with the mousecursor
You now see 3 letters:
button 1: S,
button 2: N,
button 3: I.
Click on the 3 buttons on right of the drawer with the mousecursor
You see another 3 letters:
button 4: E,
button 5: L,
button 6: C.
Now click with the hand-cursor on the proper buttons to form the word CLINE:
The ONLY good sequence is:
the 6th button,
the 5th button,
the 3rth button,
the 2nd button &
the 4th button.

So, if you press the buttons in another sequence, the word CLINE will not be formed and the drawer will NOT open.

OK, have had contact with the author about the "CLINE" & "CLUE" issue:

The line is:
"C L I N E It could also have spelled C L U E"

This is what you see when pressing hint-button while the drawer is not yet opened.

It does simply mean something like "You should use the clue CLINE" (to solve this puzzle).
Referring to the to the scoll where CLINE is written on.

Hope this clears the issue ;-)
