Robin Hood: Robin, the protagonist, is the most notorious and most-wanted outlaw in all England, and a master with the bow. He dwells with his men in Sherwood forest in Nottinghamshire, keeping a keen eye on the main road to steal from the rich and privileged and to help the poor and terrorized people of Nottingham. Despite his outlaw status, which he got through treachery, Robin Hood is a very honest man and most loyal to King Richard Lionheart, who is captured in a prison in Austria. Robin does all he can to help raise the ransom needed to buy the King free. Most of all he takes pleasure from robbing the corrupt and cruel Sheriff of Nottingham, often using disguises to infiltrate the town. Robin however is also a romantic soul, longing for the love of a woman, and he falls madly in love with Marian, a maiden of the King and Queen. Disfraz monje pantanos: Robin wears the fens monk outfit after defeating the fens monk in a quarterstaff battle (or by simply shooting him with the bow for penalty points). He wears it to infiltrate the fens monastery. This outfit doesn't show in the actual inventory but, after first use, can be used again by selecting it in Robin's cave. Disfraz monje abadía: Robin stops an abbey monk in Watling Street and gets the outfit by talking to him (or by threatening him with the bow for penalty points). He wears it to infiltrate St. Mary's abbey in Nottingham. This outfit doesn't show in the actual inventory but, after first use, can be used again by selecting it in Robin's cave. Conquests of the Longbow - The Legend of Robin Hood - View31-1.png Disfraz terrateniente: Robin stops a Yeoman in Watling Street and pays him a handsome sum to get his outfit. He wears it to participate in the archery contest at the fair in disguise. This outfit doesn't show in the actual inventory but, after first use, can be used again by selecting it in Robin's cave. Disfraz de mendigo: Robin stops a beggar in Watling Street and gives him a farthing for his outfit (or gets it for free by threatening him with the bow for penalty points). He wears the rags and false hump, to meet Lobb in Cobbler street in Nottingham. When he returns to the camp, the clothes are burned since they're unusable. This doesn't show in the actual inventory. Monjes de los pantanos: Handpicked by prince John, the Fens monks are in reality soldiers under the guise of being monks. Robin first encounters one of them attacking Marian in Sherwood and takes him out with his bow. He stops another fens monk on Watling road and obtains his clothes, but not without a deadly quarterstaff battle. Most of the monks live in the Fens monastery in extremely hard conditions, following every word of the Prior and swearing allegiance to Prince John, whom they consider the true ruler of England. El prior del monasterio de los pantanos: The Prior of the Fens Monastery is a servant of Prince John, handpicked to set up an order as a disguise for their true nature - a murder squad for the prince. They do all the dirty work that is better left unknown to the common folk in Nottingham. One of the people they kidnapped and tortured is Fulk, the king's jester. They also tried to kidnap Marian, but Robin Hood managed to save her. Finally the order also kidnapped the Queen's most trusted knight and replaced him with a false knight to try and reclaim the stolen treasure. The Prior has total control obedience from his servants who follow his every word. He also studies scrolls in the scroll room, including Fulk's scroll. The Prior also witnesses against Robin Hood during his trial.
Lobb el zapatero: Lobb is an informant for the outlaws, servant of King Richard and friend of Marian. Through Will, he asks Robin to meet him at his place in Nottingham as he has important information to share concerning the king. He reveals that Prince John is planning to transport 50,000 marks through Sherwood forest and asks Robin to join him and capture the treasure while it passes, so it can be brought to the queen as part of the ransom for her husband. Robin gladly agrees, swearing his loyalty to the king. Lobb then travels to York to obtain more information on when and how the treasure will be transported, information he will provide to the outlaws through Marian. Lobb also witnesses at Robin's trial at the end of the game. Sheriff de Nottingham: The Sheriff of Nottingham is a devout servant of Prince John and rules Nottingham with iron hand. The much-hated man taxes his people to the last farthing and hangs them on the smallest charges, with or without proof and sometimes even without a trial. He lives himself in luxury with his spoiled and much younger wife, Mathilda. robin Hood is a thorn in his side as the outlaw time and time again manages to rob the sheriff or free his prisoners before their execution. At one point Robin even manages to lure the sheriff by himself into Sherwood forest and send him back to the town with no clothing except for his hat. The sheriff testifies against Robin during his trial, but ends up being arrested for treason himself. Hombre verde: After Marian teaches Robin the hand code, she urges him to visit the Green Man to obtain the protection of the forest. The Green Man lives in the ancient oak of Sherwood forest and Robin needs to catch a forest pixie to call upon him. In order for the Green Man to grant protection, Robin must first answer his riddles, using the hand code to spell out the answers. If he misses too many, Robin will turn into a tree for eternity. Disfraz joyero: Robin stops a jeweler in Watling Street and pays him to take his role and swindle the sheriff with fake jewels. This outfit doesn't show in the actual inventory but, after first use, can be used again by selecting it in Robin's cave. Conquests of the Longbow - The Legend of Robin Hood - View57-1.png Los monjes de la Abadía: The monks of the abbey enjoy the luxurious life in St. Mary's Abey in Nottingham, eating themselves fat and enjoying beer while the people of the town suffer in poverty. One of them gets caught on Watling Street and robbed from his clothes to serve as a disguise. While Robin Hood explores the abbey, Friar Tuck teaches the fat cowardly monk the meaning of hard labor. Of course the monk later testifies how badly he was treated on Robin's trial. El rey Ricardo Corazón de León: As King Richard returned to England after the Third Crusade, riding through the night disguised as a merchant, he was assaulted and captured by the servants of King Leopold of Austria. the greedy Leopold demanded a ransom of a hundred thousand golden marks for the release of Richard, or else he would remain forever imprisoned. Unfortunately for King Richard, his brother Prince John had his own eyes on the English throne, and conspired with the Sheriff and Abbott of Nottingham against the queen to prevent the ransom ever being paid. Robin Hood, who is truly loyal to the King, does everything he can to raise the needed money and fight the traitors of Nottingham. In the end King Richard is released and returns to Nottingham, judging Robin Hood in his trial as outlaw. El falso caballero: The Fens monks capture the Queen's most trusted knight who is supposed to pick up the ransom Robin and his outlaws have collected, and put this individual as his replacement with the aim to reclaim the stolen treasure of Prince John. Luckily the false knight is easily unmasked as he is unaware of the hand code the true knight was taught and Robin picks him off with his bow. robin also finds a sealed letter on the false knight's body, hard evidence that Prince John, the Abbott, Sheriff and Prior conspire against the king.
Caballero de la Reina: This knight is the most trusted among all knights and therefore charged with the task to pick up the ransom collected by the outlaws in Sherwood Forest. Unfortunately, before the knight manages to do so, he is kidnapped and replaced by a false knight. The false knight however doesn't know the hand code and is therefore easily busted by Robin Hood. The true knight is held prisoner in the tower of the Fens monastery. Robin sets out to free him. After crossing the lake with help of whisps, climbing the tower through druid magic and convincing the true knight that he is in fact Robin Hood, the knight joins him and eventually brings the ransom to the queen, along with a sealed letter that proves the conspiracy of Prince John, the Abbott and Sheriff of Nottingham. El mendigo: Robin stops a beggar on Watling Street who intends to earn some money in Nottingham. Robin wants to use the beggar's ragged clothes to infiltrate the town and meet Lobb. If Robin treats the man well, he gives him new clothes, food, drinks and some money and sends him back north happily. Or he can get the man's clothes and false hump at the point of an arrow... He better treats the man well though, as he will witness in favor or against Robin during his trial. Labrador: Robin stops a yeoman on Watling Street who intends to participate in the archery contest and win the golden arrow, so he can return home with riches and marry his beautiful lass. Robin wants to use the yeoman's clothes to participate in the contest himself unnoticed and win the golden arrow to add it to the ransom of King Richard. It takes some hard convincing but they finally agree on a new set of clothes and a whopping 5,000 marks before the yeoman leaves back north. He witnesses in favor of Robin during his trial, still proudly wearing the clothes the outlaws gave him. Conquests of the Longbow - The Legend of Robin Hood - View133-4.png El joyero: Robin stops a jeweler on Watling Street who intends to sell his wares to the Sheriff and his wife. Upon heavy questioning and harsh replies from the jeweler for being harassed by an outlaw, the truth is revealed that the jeweler is trying to swindle the sheriff with false jewelery. This is an opportunity Robin cannot let slip by, so he compensates the man and takes his place, swindling the sheriff for a much larger amount than the jeweler could dream off himself, and temporarily taking the sheriff hostage as a bonus! Unless Robin took the jeweler's clothes and wares at arrow point, also this man will witness in favor of Robin during his trial. Little John: Little John is an outlaw serving Robin Hood. He often spends his time at the overlook, waiting for sheriff's men to harass. Despite his name, he is physically anything but little, and he wields his trusty quarterstaff like no other. He also often gives good advice to Robin and his strategies to tackle difficult situations are quite sound and reliable. At the end, if the sheriff is convicted of treason, Little John becomes the new sheriff of Nottingham. Fraile Tuck: Friar Tuck is the religious man of the outlaws. In addition he is also the treasurer, taking care of the ransom that needs to be delivered to buy King Richard free and making sure every penny is counted for. Despite being a religious man himself, he cannot stand the abbey monks, let alone the Abbott, of St. Mary's cathedral in Nottingham, knowing they are fat and lazy and live in luxury while the people of the town are poor and suffering from heavy taxes. In the end, King Richard allows friar Tuck to gather witnesses to speak on Robin's trial and, if Robin is declared innocent, becomes the new Abbott of St. Mary's cathedral. Alan-a-Dale: Alan is the bard of the outlaws, writing and singing songs about his legendary master, Robin Hood. Despite his boyish looks, his wits and sharp tongue can take anybody by surprise, occasionally leading to quarrels with other outlaws who do not appreciate his dark sense of humor, but in the end it's all in jest. He's not much of a warrior though and his strategic advice in difficult situations may better be ignored as he is rather naive and inexperienced on that level.
Will Scarlet: Will Scarlet is an outlaw and the second best archer after his master Robin. He often practices at the shooting range and helps new recruits improving their skills. He doesn't care all that much about Marian at first, seeing her more as a distraction for Robin, who should in his opinion focus more on his duty to free the king. He nonetheless does Robin's every command. He also knows the forest better than Robin and warns when the outlaws should be careful, knowing in advance the sheriff's men are in the forest. Much: Much the outlaw is the son of the miller and cousin of the widow's sons. He practically grew up with them and is distraught when they are caught by the sheriff's men and convicted to hanging. Luckily Robin manages to free them in time and smuggle them out of the castle's jail. His strategic advice should never be followed as it always leads to severe loss of men or even complete failure. Duendecillo del bosque: These pixies are constantly running across the screen while Robin walks through Sherwood forest. Try to shoot one for a little fun. However when Robin has received the golden net from the widow and manages to catch one near the ancient oak, the pixie will call the Green Man for Robin. Conquests of the Longbow - The Legend of Robin Hood - View209-1.png Marian: Marian serves the queen who tries to gather enough ransom to free her captured husband in Austria. However, with Prince John trying to prevent the release of his brother, he has many spies surrounding the queen and her servants, so Marian must be careful. With the help of Lobb, Robin Hood joins them to help retrieve 50,000 marks from prince John which is to be sent through Sherwood forest to the Abbott of St. Mary's. While at first Marian is somewhat distrustful towards Robin, her feelings towards him grow for the loyalty he displays, not to mention the numerous occasions he saves Marian from certain death. In addition to being a servant of the queen, Marian is also a priestess of the ancient powers, dancing the Spiral Dance in the willow grove for the health and regeneration of the forest. She also entrusts Robin with the hand code, secret language of the Druids. At the end of the game, Robin and Marian get married, if Robin manages to save her from the stake for witchcraft that is... La viuda: The widow, who makes wool for a living, lives in the forest near the outlaw camp with her three sons. Her sons regularly visit Nottingham to buy supplies for the outlaws and keep their ears open. One day however they are betrayed and captured by the sheriff's men, soon to be hung for collaboration with outlaws. Robin and his men however free them just in them, smuggling them out of the prison and through the pub right under the nose of the sheriff, disguised as monks. In gratitude the widow reveals she was once a forest priestess like Marian, and gives Robin a golden net. Her sons, no longer safe from the sheriff, join the outlaws of Sherwood forest. Conquests of the Longbow - The Legend of Robin Hood - View323-1.png Conquests of the Longbow - The Legend of Robin Hood - View323-4.png
Espía de la Reina: The Queen's spy attends the fair of Nottingham, dressed as a scholar. Robin needs to deliver Marian's scroll with the hand code to him, so the Queen's most trusted knight can learn the hand code as well and then pick up and deliver the ransom to the queen. To make sure that Robin delivers the scroll to the right scholar, the scholar will have to identify the correct coat of arms as instructed by Marian. the spy also gives Robin some money so he can participate in the archery tournament (since Robin gives all of his money to poor people and to buy Marian presents...). Pregonero del Tiro con Arco: This boy announces the rules of the archery contest, who's player's turn it is, which player joins in and which are disqualified and eventually... who win the competition and the golden arrow. Mathilda, la esposa del sheriff: Mathilda is just a naive material girl who married the sheriff at very young age. She is used to gets what she wants from her husband so, when Robin pays them a visit, disguised as a jeweler, she insists her husband should buy the wares Robin has to offer. And not just the wares, but the entire stock the jeweler claims to have! If anything, she helps Robin Hood swindling her own husband, though she doesn't even have a clue about it. Conquests of the Longbow - The Legend of Robin Hood - View431-1.png El abad de la catedral de Santa María: The Abbott is Prince John's most trusted ally, as the prince sends him 50,000 marks, which he stole from the queen, to safeguard it. The Abbott lives an extremely luxurious lifestyle in his quarters of the abbey. He is also a drunk with a large unpaid bill to the innkeeper who reluctantly still serves him his best ale. the Abbott also suspects Marian collaborates with the outlaws and convicts her of witchcraft as she is a forest priestess. Luckily Robin manages (or not?) from the stake. The Abbott of course witnesses against Robin Hood during his trial. El posadero: The innkeeper doesn't particularly like the monks of St. Mary's abbey and the Abbott he doesn't like at all - they demand his beer ale, never return his casks and never even pay the bill. so he is rather surprised when Robin, disguised as a monk not only returns the casks, but also pays the Abbott's entire bill! He lets Robin use the secret passage in his ale cellar that leads to the secret tunnels to access the abbey's refectory, but also the castle's jail - a passage not even the guards are aware about. Later on, when Marian is about the be burned at the stake, Robin enters the pub in his outlaw outfit and, despite initially being unwelcome, the innkeeper lets him use the passage to rescue her once he learns who the accused "witch" is. He will also let Robin use it at arrow point or for a bribe though (for less points). Harry el patrón: Harry is a retired soldier who fought during the Crusade in the Holy Land, serving with King Richard until he made peace with Saladin and sent the troops back home. These days he just sits in the pub, drinking ale and making purses lighter of those dumb enough to play a game of Nine Men's Morris against him. However he has a magical amethyst he's willing to bet if Robin plays against him. It's an amethyst Robin needs if he wants to win the drinking contest against the Abbott, so he gives the board game a go, and wins, hopefully. Fulk el bufón: Robin finds Fulk, the king's jester, locked up in the torture room of the Fens monastery. Fulk was at the crusades with his king but went to England ahead of him and got captured by prince John's servants. The Prior of the Fens wants Fulk to reveal the secret of his scroll, which the Prior studies in the scroll room. Robin frees Fulk and retrieves the scroll for him. Fulk's scroll contains the secret on how to unlock the puzzle box which contains the ring that commands fire and is in possession of the Abbott of St. Mary's cathedral in Nottingham. After his release, Fulk gives Robin both his scroll and the ring that commands water, and then returns to the queen. He also witnesses against the Prior in Robin's trial.
