	Kyle Keever	Kyle is an aspiring actor who dreams of starring as a superhero in a Hollywood movie. So when America’s Got Superpowers – a reality tv show searching for the country’s best superheroes and villains – comes to New York, Kyle sees an opportunity he cannot afford to miss.
	Mel	Every good superhero needs a courageous, resourceful sidekick. Unfortunately for Kyle, all he has is his sarcastic, misanthropic British Best Friend, Mel. Mel is surely destined to enter the Sidekicks Hall of Fame alongside such perennial favourites as Dennis Dunphy, Scrappy Doo and Jar Jar Binks.
	The Purple Patriot	The Purple Patriot is Kyle’s interpretation of the ultimate patriotic superhero. If a superhero who was driven almost entirely by Patriotism really existed, what would he be like? According to Kyle, he’d be Purple… and a bit of a pillock.
	Consuela	Consuela is a woman who hasn’t quite found her place in life yet but, while she searches, she’s having fun making everyone else’s life miserable. So really, it’s a good job that she doesn’t stand between Kyle and his dream of an audition for America’s Got Superpowers! Eh? Oh, apparently she does.
	Stan	Stan runs a bar for superheroes, supervillains and groupies. No one ever told Stan that The Seventies is over, but that hasn’t stopped him from creating one of the classiest and hottest nightclubs in Hell’s Kitchen. Stan is who Peter Stringfellow would be if he were as cool as he thinks he is.
	Nurse Julie	No one stays sick for long with Nurse Julie around. They don’t dare. Her fondness for uninvited assisted suicide means that most patients suddenly remember that their severed artery isn’t troubling them as much as they thought it was.
	The Bleeding Heart	The Bleeding Heart is part superhero and part human rights activist. She’s like Susan Sarandon in Spandex. She… … … … Sorry, I was thinking about Susan Sarandon in Spandex. Can you come back to me?
	???	This young man is a fellow contestant at the America’s Got Superpowers auditions. No one seems to know his name or where he came from, but he seems determined to be a role model for the LGBT community. Which will surely lead to some very informative and painfully politically correct adventures. Our legal department would like it known that they had no involvement in writing this description.
	Cold War Warrior	The Cold War Warrior is a remnant from a bygone age, much like CND, bell-bottoms and Madonna. A neolithic brute who crushes all who oppose him, Vladimir Putin is one of the Cold War Warrior’s greatest heroes.
