Descripción

The Big Con was being developed using AGI Studio. AGI (Adventure Game Interpreter) was Sierra On-Line's primary game engine during the 1980s. It would have been packaged with Nick Sonneveld's NAGI upon release. An application used to run AGI games within Microsoft Windows. Conrad Sheldon, the protagonist of The Big Con, had previously appeared in several minor desktop applications and minigames. He even made his way into Martin Kool's Good Old Adventures, a virtual meeting space where guests could walk through the rooms of popular Sierra games while chatting with one another. Conrad Sheldon was just one of many avatar choices. The Big Con was therefore set to be his formal outing. Born and raised in Hicksville, a small town in rural Ohio, Conrad Sheldon spent much of his life isolated from civilization. His window to the outside world came in the form of classic Sierra On-Line adventure games he would play on his IBM 486. Everything from King's Quest to Phantasmagoria. On Conrad's first adventure out of town, he finds himself entangled in the middle of a con orchestrated by several town criminals. Having been captured by these felons, he must now fight his way free. Little does he know of the grand plans these criminals hold in store for him. Conrad's only hope is his intimate, if not sometimes incoherent, knowledge of Sierra On-Line puzzle solutions.
