Este remake será fiel a la aventura point-and-click en 2D original y también a su guión sobre unos misteriosos hechos macabros en Nueva Orleans. En cambio, serán distintos los nuevos gráficos en alta definición.
La música estará remasterizada y volverán a doblarse las voces. Lamentablemente, esto último significa que no contaremos con el doblaje original del mítico actor Tim Curry. "No tenemos los archivos de audio originales, y en el momento en el que lanzamos Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, el audio estaba muy comprimido. Lo hemos eliminado para tener uno de mejor calidad. Hemos tenido que volverlo a grabar", ha explicado Jane Jensen.
