Descripción

La aventura trata sobre el pueblo de Phungoria, el cual, hace muchos años, fue liberado de una destrucción inevitable, gracias a un valiente héroe que mató a un brujo perverso con la ayuda de una seta gigantesca. La citada seta es ahora un rito para las gentes del pueblo que la tienen orgullosamente en el centro de la plaza de Phungoria. Los ciudadanos se turnan para custodiar la seta de las agresiones e intentos de robo y la conservan año tras año. Cada verano las gentes del pueblo se reúnen en torno a la seta para celebrar la victoria sobre el brujo malvado y durante esta ceremonia se traspasa la responsabilidad de la custodia de la seta a otro ciudadano del pueblo, hasta el festival del año siguiente.

En vísperas de la ceremonia de este año, el abuelo de Gilbert dará el relevo de la custodia a otra persona, pero cuando falta una semana para el festival y el ansiado relevo, alguien roba la seta y todos culpan al abuelo de Gilbert por no custodiarla adecuadamente. A raíz de esto el rey mete en la cárcel al abuelo de Gilbert y lo condena a muerte. La única manera de que Gilbert salve a su abuelo es encontrar la seta robada antes del final del festival.

Curiosidades

  • Traducciôn al español a nivel amateur por varios usuarios de La Página de Pakolmo.
  • Este juego utiliza una moneda de verbos.
  • La versión final de Amiga nunca llegó a salir al mercado. En 1998 se publicó una demo. En la carga del juego te indicaban las características de la demo y una estimación de la versión final:

* 15-20 protracker modules.
* At least 4000 frames of animation. (Gilbert himself is made up of over 200 frames).
* Digitized speech for every charachter appearing in the game.
* A very intuitive user-interface.

* A really entertaining storyline.

This demo features:

* 2 rooms.
* 2 songs.
* 400+ animation frames.

Not implemented in demo:

* The ability to talk to other characters.
* Speech and Sound effects.
* Load/Save functions.

Please note that this early demo is just a work-in-progress. It's purpose is solely to show some
functions and features of the game. There may still be some bugs or unpolished animations.
Also, the code is far from optimized.

Instalación

Windows XP

  • Hacer instalación completa y aplicar la actualización 1.05 oficial. Seguidamente aplicar la traducción 2.0. Hay que verificar tras aplicar la actualización que la versión del juego es la 1.05. Esto podemos verlo fácilmente en el menú pulsando F1. Si aparece la versión 1.03 es que has usado un parche equivocado, descarga en el foro la versión adecuada.
  • La traducción original de 2003 no es compatible si se aplica alguna actualización oficial, y puede producir numerosos problemas que están comentados en el hilo del juego en el foro.
  • También probado y funciona perfectamente en Win7 64bits.
