Benji Rosenbloom | The game's protagonist. Travelling from Heathrow airport, London, the plane on which Benji travels crashes on the island, leaving him the only survivor (at least, so far as he knows). |

Lola Goldsmith | Benji's first friend on the island. Lola and a number of others on the island worked for a construction company owned by Charles Cune. Ferrying some materials across the ocean, Lola and her co-workers crashed on the island some years before Benji's plane did. |

Old Ray | A paranoid, gun-toting war veteran who worked with Lola in Charles Cune's construction company. Ray is known to hold captive anybody who steps even slightly out of line, pointing his gun at them though never known to actually fire it. |

Gus Greenwater | A drunken accomplice to Lola and Old Ray. Not an official crew member of the freighter on which Lola and Ray arrived on the island, but a stowaway who the crew eventually came to know and love on the island. Holds an MA degree in Philosophy. |

Coconut Gary | A friend made by the freighter crash survivors while on the island, who watches over the vegetable patch and wards off unwanted birds. Very popular among those on the island, and often considered to be the thread that binds them together. |

Charles Cune | Billionaire tycoon with a large and well-known business enterprise. One of his businesses is the construction company that Lola, Ray and others worked for before their ship crashed on the island. |

Captain Lift-Ticket | Leader of a band of incompetent pirates who circle the island on a small tug-boat and attempt to bully its inhabitants. In place of his hand, rather than a hook, is a megaphone he uses to communicate with those on land. |
|
The Shaman | The wise and aged leader of the island's native tribe, though beginning to become somewhat tired of the whole gig. |
