Descripción

Russell Stone, el Rabino de una sinagoga pobre en la Ciudad de Nueva York, se ha ido convirtiendo en una persona cínica y amargada, con importantes problemas económicos que cada vez le hacen más difícil mantener una sinagoga en la que hace mucho tiempo que no entra ni Dios (y nunca mejor dicho). Sumido en una profunda crisis de fe, ve como todas sus dudas alcanzan su nivel más alto cuando un día aparece un detective que despertará los fantasmas de su pasado en forma de una inesperada donación. ¿Una bendición? ¿O el principio de algo mucho más siniestro? La conciencia le dice al Rabino que no puede quedarse con el dinero sin más y esto le encaminará en un viaje frenético por Manhattan con la intención de destapar la verdad.
