Instalación

Windows XP

  • Instalar manualmente con Instal.exe, no hay reproducción automática al insertar o montar el CD.
Antes de jugar hay que ver la intro para ver una secuencia animada donde más o menos explican de qué va la cosa. Aunque lamentablemente no tiene subtítulos, algo se entiende. Ejecutar la intro desde el acceso directo Trailer del grupo Pilgrim del menú de inicio.
El juego tiene 2 CDs, y aunque se puede crear fácilmente una ISO con el contenido de los dos CDs, este truco no funciona ya que la instalación no avanza al pedir el segundo CD.--cireja 13:41 24 sep 2013

Jugar a pantalla completa en Windows XP

El truco de ponerle al ejecutable compatibilidad y ejecutar con resolución de 640x480 no funciona en este caso. Así que me he preparado un sencillo truco para poder jugar a resolución completa sin tener que estar tocando la resolución del sistema.
Para ello nos creamos un archivo .bat, por ejemplo de nombre Pilgrim.bat y lo colocamos en la carpeta de instalación (C:\Pilgrim), con el siguiente contenido:

ECHO "Jugando a Pilgrim, no olvides introducir antes el 1er CD"

START PILGRIM.EXE
ECHO Pulsa una tecla para cerrar.
PAUSE>nul
EXIT
Guardamos el archivo y le ponemos en la pestaña compatibilidad que se ejecute a 640x480. Lo ejecutamos con lo que conseguimos que se nos muestre un texto esperando una pulsación de tecla que no sirve para nada, pero se nos reducirá la resolución a 640 y podremos jugar a pantalla completa. Al cerrar el Pilgrim sólo tendremos que pulsar una tecla para que se cierre la ventana de DOS y la resolución volverá a su estado inicial. Básicamente todo esto es para no tener que estar cambiando la resolución principal del sistema, cosa que sí es algo más engorrosa. Por comodidad nos podemos crear un acceso directo en el escritorio de nuestro lanzador bat.--cireja 13:41 24 sep 2013
