- A mediados de la década de 1990, Activision (que había comprado Infocom), había planeado hacer una secuela gráfica de Planetfall llamada Planetfall: The Search for Floyd o Planetfall 2: Floyd's Next Thing, pero fue cancelada. Prometía "un argumento refinado en la línea de los guionistas de Star Trek: The Next Generation". Una demo no interactiva de Planetfall 2 se incluyó en la compilación de Activision en CD Power Hits: BattleTech.
