Anna's Quest cuenta la historia de una pequeña niña encerrada en un oscuro y profundo bosque por una malvada anciana que la somete a una serie de pruebas y experimentos. Lo que la anciana no sabe es que nuestra heroína tiene poderosos poderes de telequinesis que son su mejor arma para escapar.

Kind hearted and softly spoken, she has learnt about the outside world through her Grandpa within the reclusive yet safe confines of their farm. To her, finding a cure to save her dying Grandpa is everything - he is the one that raised her, that taught her about the world, and the last of her family. She has an innocence and an eagerness to help with other people, but with a quick enough wit to save her from dangerous situations.

Anna is venturing into the woods and leaving the safety of her farm for the first time in her life in order to save her Grandpa who has fallen suddenly ill. The story begins when Winfriede, an evil witch of the woods, kidnaps the girl to try and steal her telekinetic abilities. Anna, however, is not even aware herself of such abilities, and when the witch prompts her to use them in order to continue with her plans, Anna seizes the opportunity and uses her new found power as a means of escape.

A dark and mysterious past has left her bitter, selfish, power hungry, and physically withered into appearing many years older. She intends to take Anna's telekinetic power, and has no time or patience for anyone slowing her down. In realising that she will need at least some of the girl's co-operation, and struggles to suppress her extreme impatience and frustration with children.

After spying on Anna and her Grandpa for many years, Winfriede has lured Anna out of the safety of her farm and into her woods where she in turn kidnapped the girl. Locking her away in her tower, she plans to use her combination of witchcraft and scientific knowledge to extract the girl's telekinetic power. In the over confidence of her own plans, Winfriede fails to carry enough credence in Anna's ability to escape, right up until the end.

Anna's Quest - Vol. 1 - Winfriede's Tower - Joringel.png Joringel A forlorn ghost imprisoned in Winfriede's tower, approximately 25 years old. Ordinarily quite self-centered and unsympathetic, he thinks only of himself and his needs. Because of this he only feigns the nice guy act with Anna in order to manipulate her into helping him. Jorinde knows him too well for this tricky nature of his, and keeps in line as his wife (as pictured).

He grew up in the witchcraft school where he attended with his wife, Jorinde, as well as Winfriede amongst others. One day Jorinde begged him to leave with her, and since he wasn't any good at witchcraft anyway he agreed. Ever since he has lived happily with Jorinde as his wife, until she suddenly disappeared. Following her into the woods, he himself is captured, and awakes to find himself chained up in Winfriede's tower.

Anna's Quest - Vol. 1 - Winfriede's Tower - Espejo.png Espejo A magic mirror kept in Winfriede's basement. Speaks constantly in rhyme, but always in a booming, cheerful, and obedient manner. Although he is kind hearted himself, he will obey anyone who might happen to talk to him, whether it be the evil witch Winfriede or the well mannered Anna. That being said, he has a fondness for Anna and her cause, and is happiest in assisting her on her quest.

While his past is a mystery to Anna, he is being used by Winfriede to spy on Anna and her Grandpa. Having the ability to see and know of all the happenings in the kingdom, he foresaw Anna's arrival, and welcomed her with a cheerful and excited assistance. He convinces Anna to perform a protection spell on herself, knowing that Winfriede would persist in taking the girl's power.
