Descripción

En el futuro, en una Tierra gobernada por animales donde la raza humana ha "desaparecido", diriges al joven zorro Rif, quien ha sido falsamente acusado de haber robado el Orbe de las Tormentas -objeto que predice las lluvias-. Así pues, tendrás que encontrar al Orbe y al ladrón que se lo llevó, rescatar a tu novia -que ha sido apresada por la tribu de los Jabalíes hasta que vuelva el Orbe- y desvelar misterios como qué pasó con la Humanidad y a dónde fue...

Curiosidades

  • Inherit the Earth estaba destinado a ser una trilogía, pero la serie fue interrumpida por desavenencias creativas entre el desarrollador y el editor.

Instalación

Preinstalado

En el foro dispones de versiones preinstaladas donde sólo tendrás que descomprimir y ejecutar:

  • Basada en DOSBox y la versión CD.
  • Basada en DOSBox y la versión disquetes.

DOSBox

  1. Montamos la imagen de CD con imgmount d "...ruta...\Inherit.cue" -t iso
  2. Instalar con Install y responder yes (y) para aceptar la ruta propuesta.
  3. Ahora hay que elegir el dispositivo de sonido digital, elige C que corresponde a SoundBlaster y aceptar los valores propuestos.
  4. Después le toca al dispositivo de música MIDI, elige I para Roland y acepta los valores propuestos.
  5. Comprobamos la elección de parámetros y aceptamos con yes (y).
  6. Después se nos ofrece instalar unos archivos especiales para agilizar el juego, tales como efectos de sonido, diálogos, gráficos, etc... Los instalamos todos pulsando 1, 2 y 3 sucesivamente. Después confirmamos con Enter. Fin de la instalación.
  7. Ahora es el momento de aplicar la traducción. Las instrucciones están dentro del archivo zip.
  8. Ejecutamos el juego con ITE.
Con la tecla Enter podemos saltarnos los diálogos. Con el Esc saltaremos las secuencias animadas. Con la tecla Tab accedemos al menú principal, al que podemos también llegar pinchando en el disquete azul que está bien visible siempre.
En LAELA hay un parche para la versión CD que solventa problemas con el lector de CD-ROM. No es necesario, además, si se pone la traducción al español se sobreescribirá de nuevo.--cireja 19:48 21 sep 2013
